(19 March 2008)
Kem Desa Cempaka was visited by two Swiss nationals who had been cycling all around Kuantan, and looking for a place to stay. Lucky for them, Kem Desa Cempaka provided a cozy accommodation for drop-in travellers. As there was a course programme being held at that time and all the guesthouses had been taken up, they only stayed one night in The Cempaka Inn cabin. The Swiss also had a taste of our local delicacy - the sambal belacan (shrimp paste chili cuisine) and they really liked it!!

The course participants made up of 31 peer counsellors from the MARA Junior Science College. Throughout their course at Kem Desa Cempaka, they were exposed to the various people relationship skills apart from enjoying the numerous activities lined up for them. The activities no doubt created a positive impact on them.
